honoring you.....

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrance from your brother Tom is touching and reflects his admiration and respect for you as well as his deep sense of loss over your death. As long as you are remembered you will remain in our hearts forever.

Brother

Hey Jerry it’s Tommy your baby brother. I’m 57 now and there isn’t a day that goes by that you’re not in my mind. I was 5 on that day I came home from school and those two military guys were in our living room I knew something was wrong but too young to understand. I knew mom and dad were sad but they always kept it to themselves. I’m so proud of you but I’m still mad cause I was cheated by my older brother being taken away from us at such a young age I didn’t have you there to talk things out! Mom and dad are both with you now and for that I’m happy but I miss everyone and can’t wait for the day I’m back home with my family! Shirley married a guy named Charlie in 1973 and he passed away in 2018 with doing the best job of being my brother, I know you two met and are having some heavenly drinks with dad. Always in my heart!

Not a remembrance...

A friend of mine just posted pictures of the Vietnam Memorial visiting her town. The THOUSANDS of names is overwhelming, but among them all, yours really caught my eye. I tried looking you up online, but there wasn't much information, only that you died very young (21). I try to imagine what it was like...in your shoes--the day-to-day, and also the terror of a fire fight; I really wish there was a biography of you to read. Regardless, thank you for putting your youth at risk for our safety which we still enjoy today!

Thank You

Dear Sp4 Gerald Zlotorzynski, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman with the 1st Cavalry. Yesterday was your 52nd anniversary, sad. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is spring and Lent. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.
