Thank You

Dear Sp4 John Zielinski, Thank you for your service as an Armor Reconnaissance Specialist. The 56th anniversary of the start of your tour is soon. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is spring and Lent. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

My best frend John Peter Zielinski

Left at the wall in Washington D. C. a placard stickball bat and ball.
This stickball bat and ball are in memory of my friend John P. Zielinski who made the ultimate sacrifice for his country on January 29, 1968, just weeks before he was to come home from Vietnam. John loved to read, play stickball go bowling and play .05 & .10 cent poker games with the guys, Peter, Kenny, Russ and I etc. He left behind his mother and father, sisters Barbara, Anne and Helen. John loved this country so much. That in a letter home to his mother he said "When I see the Statue of Liberty again it will have a truer meaning to me." God bless and keep you always John. your friend Francis J. Boelke, U.S.N.
