Ground Casualty

SP4 Reinaldo Zayas-Castro was a Supply Handler serving with the 647th Quartermaster Company, 504th Field Depot, Army Support Command Cam Ranh Bay, 1st Logistical Command, U.S. Army, Republic of Vietnam. The 504th Field Depot, located at the Cam Ranh Bay complex in Khanh Hoa Province, RVN, was responsible for supply support of combat operations in the southern part of II Corps. On May 4, 1966, SP4 Zayas-Castro died at his unit’s base camp where it was reported he took his own life. He was twenty-five years old. [Taken from coffeltdatabase.org]

Peace with Honor

Reinaldo is buried at Municipal Cemetery, Trujillo Alto, PR.

Reinaldo Zayas Castro was a Specialist Fourth Class in the United States Army. He served and died in Vietnam.

Reinaldo Zayas Castro era Especialista Cuarta Clase en el Ejército de los Estados Unidos. Luchó y murió en la Guerra de Vietnam.
