Gridley High School Social/Political Science Class Project
During times of war the eyes of Americans are opened up and our nation becomes stronger together. No longer do citizens take things for granted, such as remembering soldiers who gave their lives in battle fighting for an earlier cause. The truth is the cause was just as important then as it is now. Unfortunately, our generation does not always give credit where credit is due. This recognition is an attempt to restore the undying appreciation we need to have for this great soldier and all those who gave up everything they had and everything they loved for America. God bless.

Thank You
Dear Sir,
I am a senior at Gridley High School in Gridley, IL and as a class project, our Consumer Economics class is posting remembrances to courageous veterans who perished during the Vietnam War.
Every time I hear the national anthem, I will think of you. Every time I see the Stars and Stripes waving in the breeze, I will remember your sacrifice. Every time I place my hand over my heart and recite the pledge of allegiance, I will be reminded of your courageous gift of liberty to our country. God bless America.
Gratefully,
Joel Campbell

Thank You
I am a senior in high school at Gridley High School in Gridley, Illinois. My teacher served in the Vietnam War and was shocked at the few number of remembrances there were for all these people who gave their lives. I felt this assignment to be uplifting to the family members of those who lost their lives. The men/women are honorable and so selflessly fought for the country they believed in and saw potential in. These amazing people served their country in a time of need and I wanted to express my gratitude and admiration.
