Do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
Mary Frye – 1932

NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER
It is said a man hasn't died as long as he is remembered. This prayer is a way for families, friends and fellow veterans to remember our fallen brothers and sisters. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. The Optimist
Rusty's red hair, white loafers, and a California attitude made him unique on our small midwest college campus.
His love and respect for all set him apart.
We were roomates our senior year of college. Always the optimist, Rusty, choose to find the positive aspect of professor, fellow student, or situation. I have yet to meet another like him.
The world is a better place because of him.

Remembering Rusty
Francis Carl Brockman III, known to his family and friends as Rusty, was a very special young man. He was intelligent, kind, good looking and had so much to offer the world.
He was drafted into the Army after he graduated from college and this began his journey into the world of war and all the horrific things mankind does to one another.
Rusty had so much more to offer this world. Had there not been insane people who loved to kill, Rusty would still be with us. I wish he was.
Perhaps we can most honor our brave loved ones who lost their lives to the "insanities of war" by finding a new and safer way to approach and handle those who commit atrocities upon others. All our fallen men and women, I'm sure, would smile upon us with pride.
