Remembering An American Hero
Dear PFC Tommy Dee Wright, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter

Fellow Marine
Although we didn't know each other, I served with you in Charlie 1/3. I was in Charlie 4, with the 60 mm mortars. I remember the early hours of May 20th when our lines were hit. I pounded the enemy with 60 mm mortars till we ran out of mortar rounds. Myself and 3 other mortar men carried the dead and wounded in ponchos to the chopper when it arrived. I have never forgotten that night nor will I forget you, for giving your life for your country. It's Memorial Weekend 2014 and 45 years later. I am proud so say I served with you. Ken Olsen
