Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. We should be forever thankful for the sacrifices of you and so many others to ensure the freedoms we so often take for granted.

Thank You

Dear PFC Kenneth Wright, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman with the 1st Cavalry. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Lent has begun. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Older brother

Kenny's sister Mary Kay and I were in the same class at Marquette. In fact, she was my first roommate at St. Joseph Hospital as we were born a day apart. Kenny made the Vietnam War real for us at the age of 17. It became more real over the ensuing years as I headed off to college. In 2004 I started a program that interview military veterans for publication in a yearly book entitled Since You Asked. Students also send the taped interview to Veterans History Project at the Library of Congress for permanent archiving. Since our book this year is A Salute to the Vietnam War veterans, I am adding Kenny's name in our In Memoriam section. May his service never be forgotten!

A Childhood Friend

Kenny and I were classmates until we graduated 8th grade and moved on to different high schools. I will never forget those childhood memories and the times we had as kids. Before I knew it, I was standing in line at the funeral home to touch your casket and remember you for the last time. Always in my heart and thoughts.
