Ground Casualty
SP4 Jeffery L. Wright was trained in field artillery and served with C Battery, 5th Battalion, 42nd Artillery. While deployed to Vietnam, SP4 Wright became ill with malaria. He was hospitalized at Long Binh Post in Bien Hoa Province, RVN, when on September 30, 1971, he suffered a fatal heart attack as a consequence of his illness. He was 18 years-old.
