Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. I am heartened you returned home after the passage of so many years though I wish it had been under very different circumstances. May you rest in eternal peace.

Thank You

Dear Lcdr Paul Worrell, Thank you for your service as an Unrestricted Line Officer - Pilot on the USS FDR. Glad you were identified in 1985, WELCOME HOME. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Lent has begun. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Gone but not forgotten....

As a child, I remember my Mom wearing your bracelet every day. Then one day she left it behind when she visited the wall. I just took my son the the wall today and explained the bracelet. I will never forget your name and your sacrifice.

Never Forgotten

I remember receiving my POW bracelet for Christmas from my brother. He purchased it from Paul Worrell’s mother. We lived in the same neighborhood, Somerton. I was just a kid at the time, and I did not truly understanding the sacrifice of all the men and women who fought in the Vietnam War. I wore my bracelet like a badge of honor. I was waiting for Lieutenant Paul Worrell to come home so I could happily give it to him. Sorry to say, that didn’t happen but I’m happy you finally got to rest at home on the land you loved. Thank you for your service, you will never be forgotten.

Grateful that he returned home

As a child, I wore a bracelet in his name to support my friend’s hope in finding her uncle. So many years have past and during 2019 DC Vietnam Memorial I learned he was home resting. God bless him and his family.
