Dear PVT Robert Woodard, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. I researched you on the 54th anniversary of the start of your tour. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Happy Valentine's Day, it just passed. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

I think I was about 8 maybe when you passed. You were engaged to my sister at one point. I even got to ride your motorcycle once as a kid that was a fun memory.You were a good young man. You will never be forgotten.Thank you for your service.Rest in power.

I know of you because of my mother Barbara Dee Hunter McDougal and my aunt Shirley Hunter Morris. When the memorial was established in Washington, DC, I remembered you and I went to the wall and shaded on your name so that they could see that you weren't forgotten. You were there friend from Holly Springs, NC our family home. Thank you for your sacrifice to ensure our safety.
