THE WALL OF FACES

I served with this soldier and was to go home with him after our tours. Our last talk was to make sure he got on the flight. He told me there would be another flight. That was just before he was killed.

Sergeant First Class Charles Jackson Britt was awarded the Silver Star Medal for his conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action. He served as an Infantryman (Instructor) and was assigned to ADV TEAM 22, HQ, MACV ADVISORS.

Sergeant First Class Charles Jackson Britt was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Valor, with Combat Distinguishing Device (V), for his exemplary gallantry in action. He was also awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Merit for his sustained meritorious service. He served as an Infantryman (Instructor) and was assigned to ADV TEAM 22, HQ, MACV ADVISORS.
