those gentle heroes you left behind
I didn't know Ken Bristow but I knew his brother Ray, we were biking buddies (hare and hound, enduro), back in the 60s. I had a Honda CL100, Ray Bristow had a Harley 125. He was the one of us brave enough to ride motocross, and proved to us all that it is worthy to make the attempt even if the odds are long. When I heard about Ken's death, it fit with what I knew about the Bristows; that they are solid citizens, true and fair, and will stand with you when it counts. I last saw Ray at my father's funeral, he was there to comfort me in my pain. His brother Ken had done the same, for his fellow soldiers, until his last breath.
