Thank You
Dear Maj Roger Witte, Thank you for your service as a Tactical AircraftPilot. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Valentine's Day is soon. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

I still remember you, and think of you frequently
I grew up down the street from you. You took me up on my first airplane ride and it was a thrill to fly over Collinsville with you. We went our separate ways, you went to Parks and used your degree to become an Air Force officer. I went into the Navy and served in aviation. I know that you were flying A-1 Skyraiders and they were used to pretect downed aircrew and rescue helos. That qualifies you as a hero in my book.
