do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
As long as you are remembered you will never truly die.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,

As long as you are remembered you will never truly die.

Thank you my dear Uncle Mickey
Oh how I wish I'd known you. I'm so proud to call you my Uncle though we never met. My Dad has done a beautiful job keeping your memory alive. I will never hear the National Anthem when I won't think of you. Until we meet face to face, I love you and I thank God for you and your sacrifice for this country.
