Thank You
Dear Sgt Gary Witherell, Thank you for your service as an Airborne Qualified Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Valentine's Day is soon. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear SGT Gary Lee Witherell, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter

You are not forgotten
Last week, my grandson, Christian Litzenberger, now a junior in HS, visited The Wall with his school class. He is your Mother's grand, grand nephew. You visited with Christian's Grandfather and I in Washington, DC the first of March 1968. We visited many monuments and you took many pictures. It was a busy week - I delivered Christian's Dad on March 8, 1968. You were a very special young man, we are very proud of your service and Christian was proud to seek out your name on The Wall. I'm sorry your life was so short. You are not forgotten. God bless.
