Thank You

Dear Lt David Wilson, Thank you for your service as a Nontactical Unit Officer. Your 55th anniversary is in 4 days, sad. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. You are remembered. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

David Wilson was a fine gentleman, a kind person, and a genuine hero.

As I write this, I'm watching the episode of the Ken Burns Vietnam documentary regarding the year 1968. Whenever I think of the awful time of the Vietnam War, I think of David. He was a neighborhood friend from childhood through high school. He came from a wonderful family--parents Helen and David, and sister Ellen. I literally never heard him utter a cross word to anyone. He was always smiling, There wasn't a mean bone in his body. Although I don't remember ever hearing him speak about joining the armed forces, I consider it completely consistent with his outstanding character to choose to serve his country, and to do so with the highest distinction and valor.

I Salute Dave Wilson

I remember Dave as a gentlemen, a stand up guy, a guy everybody could count on, seemingly on his way in life as a good citizen of our Country. I admire his dual accomplishment of getting his college degree from PA Mil. College and his Commission as an Officer in the US Army. I salute his service to our Country, and his bravery under fire. God bless this Gallant Man. I hope to meet him again in the Lord's Kingdom, and I will Salute him at first sight. --
