I remember
I knew David when we were kids living in the very small comunity of Copco California. He was 5 years older than myself. We went to a one room school together untill I was in the third grade. He would always have time for the younger kids to help them play guitar or play catch. I remember how it felt when we went to visit his family after we had gotten the news that he was killed in action. I will always remember him as the kind and gental person he was.
The song that says the good always die young is true. Rest in piece.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear PFC David Lewis Wilson, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter
