Ambush on 689

PFC Williams was one of about 18 men KIA on 689. He was part of a combined force from India and Lima Companies, 3rd Bn 26th Marines, who were involved in an attempt to rescue some Marines from Combined Action Company Oscar who had been ambushed earlier that day, The entire story and pictures are posted on Google sites at https: sites.google.com site usmccaposcar in-memoriam If any survivors or family members wish to contact me with more details about him or the other men who were KIA or WIA at this battle, I would be grateful.

Not forgotten

William, Although we never met, I just want you to know you are not forgotten. You gave the ultimate sacrifice, your life for what you believed in. Sleep well my friend, and thank you for protecting the freedoms we have today.
