Thank You

Dear Lt Ray Williams, Thank you for your service as an Aviation Engineer Unit Commander. I researched you on your 56th anniversary, sad. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. MLK birthday weekend just passed. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Bronze Star Hero

On December 27, 1966, Lt. Williams showed courage and leadership as he guided his men through an area known to have been mined and booby trapped. Disregarding his own safety, he entered the area to search and clear, during which he was fatally injured. His widow, Rita Williams, was presented the Bronze Star with V Device for her husband posthumously.
