Thank You
Dear PFC Johnny Williams, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Your 55th anniversary is in 2 days, sad. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. MLK birthday weekend just passed. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Johnny Williams our neighborhood hero in Durham, NC
Johnny Williams and his family lived across the street from my family in Durham. Johnny was a hero & big brother to all of us kids & always had time to toss around a football or just chat with us, an absolute great guy. I was 12 years old in the 6th grade when Johnny was killed in January 1968 and we were all devastated by his passing. Johnny made the ultimate sacrifice for America so that others might live free!! Gone but not forgotten by the many lives he touched in his short 22 years!! Rest easy soldier! Sincerely, Troy Douglas Cash, MSgt (Ret), USAF

Remembering An American Hero
Dear PFC Johnny Williams, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter
