Thank You

Dear PFC Franklin Williams, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is MLK's birthday weekend. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

To my Uncle

Dearest Uncle Frankie,
I was just a baby when you were killed.

As I grew older, I learned about you from the stories told by our family.

It broke my heart to know that you were supposed to be sent home after your bout with malaria, but instead we’re sent back to war— where you were killed.

In a country where civil rights for people who looked like us were non-existent; I thank you for fighting and dying for the rights of others, while our fight against racism here on US soil continued.

I Thank you, Uncle Frankie for
your service.

Your family loves and honors you today and always!

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC Franklin Bruce Williams, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
