Honoring Major Williams

I was growing up in Longmont CO while you were attending the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, graduating in 1964. Eight years later I would be ships company on the USS Coral Sea and you flew your 3 May 72 mission and did not return. You are listed in the cruise book as MIA and your loss grieved by shipmates as well as family. You gave all our county asked. I am relieved that you did make it home.

Son of Maj Williams

Hello to All Friends,
I am remiss in posting for many poor reasons.
My mother did remarry another Marine Corps Aviator and we carried on as a family while still remembering and honoring my father. I ended up attending the US Naval Academy and becoming a Marine Officer myself. I added my adopted name of ‘Seipt’ which has become my primary last name since entering college. I retired after 20 years and multiple combat deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan. I still work with DoD agencies as a civilian and reside near MCAS Cherry Point, NC. Thank you for keeping my dad and our family in your prayers.

honoring you....

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. I am heartened you returned home after the passage of so many years though I wish it had been under very different circumstances. May you rest in eternal peace.

POW Bracelet - David B. Williams

Thank you for your service. I wore your POW/MIA Bracelet for several years back in the 1970’s. I would like to give it to his surviving family members.

Thank You

Dear Maj David Williams, Thank you for your service as a Naval Flight Officer - Bombardier-Navigator, and for graduating from the Air Force Academy. Glad you were identified in 1989. Welcome Home. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Happy New Year. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.
