On this Memorial Day 2020
I still have a POW/MIA bracelet that I wore in the early 1970s with the name Capt. Robert Willett, Jr. engraved on it. It is part of my permanent collection of artifacts from my youth. Every Memorial Day I think of Capt. Willett and wondered what ever happened...through the power of the internet, I now now what this American Hero looks like and where he hailed from. #IrememberYou #MemorialDay #RemembertheVets

Why I Became an Aviator
Vince was my big brother Jimmy's best friend. He was home on leave on his way to Vietnam. His love of flying was infectious; I was a sophomore in HS and caught the bug!! I always wanted to be in the military, but that's the day I knew I wanted to be an USAF aviator. I served 26 years as a USAF Navigator and loved every minute. Thanks Vince! You are missed!

Thank you
I have a Capt. Robert Willett Jr bracelet from the 1970's. I have carried it with me all these years. Even though i was against the war I was not against those who served. Thank you for your service. Thank you to his family. I really appreciate finally being able to read about him after all these years.
