You Are Remembered Eleanor
I never met Eleanor but learned of her service and sacrifice in Viet Nam when I worked at D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY (now called D'Youville University). Our office initiated the Eleanor Alexander scholarship in her memory. I look for her name on the traveling Viet Nam Memorial Wall when it makes its way to Western New York. She is one of my heroes even though I never met her. I just read the book, “The Women” and I cannot get Eleanor’s name out of my thoughts once again. I’d like to meet someone from her family one day just to say she’s remembered.
