Sargent Wilder You were a great leader , under your command I felt safe, I looked up to you and you gained my respect . I think of Vietnam almost daily and of you, i never contacted any of the men in our platoon with one exception. Rest in place Sarge.

Thank you Sargent Wilder.

Dear Sargent Wilder, I always think of you , it's been 46 years since serving under your command , I always admired your leadership qualities, I felt safe humping through the bush knowing you were there , when under fire you proved over and over again to me that no matter what you would make decisions based on our safety and fulfilling the mission. I hope one day I will visit your final resting place in Texas. I salute you sarge. May you Rest In Peace.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SGT Ronald Frederick Wilder, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter
