Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. You died at 18 years of age. I am 75 and have lived a long and fulfilling life. It is tragic you never had that same opportunity. May you rest in eternal peace.

I served with Ray in 81 mortars attached to K company 3/9 on Operation Macon July 4,1966 were we got outnumbered&encircled&pinned down for 18 hrs.!Ray went above &beyond in his heroic action,but unfortunately was KIA!He was a hero&a better man!

Dear Lcpl Raymond Widmann, Thank you for your service with the 3rd Battalion, 9th Marines. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is the 8th Day of Christmas, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.
