If I should die...remembrances for COL. Lawrence Whitford, Jr., USAF...LIFT UP YOUR FACE TO GOD! OH, MEN WHO FLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I should die, and leave you here awhile, be not like others, sore undone, who keep long vigils by the silent dust, and weep...for MY sake, turn again to life, and smile...Nerving thy heart and trembling hand to do something to comfort other heart than thine...Complete these dear, unfinished task of mine...and I, perchance, may therein comfort you.

A Misty gone but not forgotten
When you and Pat took off from Tuy Hoa nobody thought a stroll up into Tchepone would be easy but to not come back? We Lts lost a real leader and mentor. You are not forgotten.

Remembering....
I didn't know Lawrence Whitford but I used to wear a POW/MIA bracelet during the Vietnam War and today I found the bracelet while going through some things in my attic. I just wanted to say that Lawrence, and the other POW/MIA and veterans, are not forgotten. The American people appreciate their sacrifice and they are not forgotten by anyone who lived back during the Vietnam War. We might not talk about it much but we do think about it often.
