Thank You

Dear Cap Gregory Whitehouse, Thank you for your service as a Counterintelligence Officer. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is the 3rd Day of Christmas, Merry Christmas. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

We were kids at Ft. Lawton, Wa; Seoul, Korea; Ft Douglas, Ut; Texas A&M

Dear Greg and family here now and gone before: I think of you now and then. My folks are gone, too. When we were kids in Korea, 1947/48 you told on me to our parents when I had kissed the Tatum girl at your house.
I remember how much you liked comic books. And how much you liked to hunt. And Shelby; and your beloved folks, a real Army family. -- I can see them now. I now live at the California State Veterans' Home in Yountville, California, 94599. I hope to see you all
in Heaven fairly soon.

Dedicated Warrior

Greg and I served in separate units, Paris, France. My last visit with Greg was in VN, circa, 1967 at Tan Son Nhut Air Base, his in country assignment, and not to his liking. He applied for and was granted assignment to a combat unit. I left Nam For assignment to the Pentagon. In 1968, I learned his demise, and was honored to attend his funeral at Arlington National Cemetary, and briefly visited with his wife and young children. I think of him often.
