Thank You

Dear Cap William Whitehead, Thank you for your service as an Airborne Qualified Tactical Intelligence Staff Officer and for graduating from WEST POINT. I researched you on the 55th anniversary of the start of your tour. researched Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is the 3rd Day of Christmas, Merry Christmas. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

He gave me great advice

In 1967, I was in my 2nd week in VN, Bill was in his 50th. He dispensed this advice, "In a firefight, don't expose yourself; stay in cover and concealment. When your six months in combat is up, come out of the combat zone to a safer staff position." I did that, and it saved my life. In 1968, Bill came back for a 2nd VN tour and was KIA on his way to his command. We miss his sparkling personality and wit.
