Remembering An American Hero
Dear PFC William Henry White, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter

One of Many Who Sacraficed
I served in Vietnam from June 1971 to March 1972 and for the life of me I cannot remember anyone I served with while in country. But I am compelled to write a rememberance about PFC William Henry White because, one ~ he is from my hometown of Chicago Heights, Il and two ~ he gave his life not by choice but for a cause that was unjustified. I am proud to have served my country as I am proud of everyone who served in the same capacity. The Vietnam War was such a waste of life, it's just sad that so many including PFC White had to sacrafice their lives.
