Dear LTC Robert Whitbeck, Thank you for your service as an Airborne Qualified Field Artillery Unit Commander. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It's the last week of Advent, and Christmas is in days. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

The “Friends of Rocky Versace” remember the senior officer of the 68 men whose name is chiseled into stone beneath a Gold Star at the Captain Rocky Versace Plaza and Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Alexandria, VA - a brother Paratrooper - Lieutenant Colonel Robert Earl Whitbeck, U.S. Army, on what would’ve been his 92nd birthday – 22 February 2021.

During a "clandestine, spontaneous happening" at the CPT Rocky Versace Plaza and Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Memorial Day 2020, the "Friends of Rocky Versace" remembered Lieutenant Colonel Robert Earl Whitbeck, U.S. Army, as well as Alexandria's 67 other Vietnam War Fallen Heroes.
