Family. ( Sister )

I am Freddy's sister, Judy. It has been 49 years since Freddy has died and yes we do miss him. I was 14 yrs old when my brother was killed, I remember that day like it was yesterday... My granddaughter is in kindergarten and they are honoring family members who are veterans. Freddy's Dad, Freddy and his two brothers and myself are veterans and my daughter is active duty. Thank you for this site, I never knew until now of this site. Miss you Freddy and hope to see you again someday in heaven.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC Fredrick Joseph Brenke, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter
