My Platoon Sergeant IN C Company 1st 508th Infantry 82nd Airborne Div.
SFC Jose Brenes was my first Platoon Sergeant in the 82nd Airborne Division.We both deployed to Vietnam in 1967. I was assigned to the First Calvary Division. He to the 101st. We were both serving in Quang Tri Northern I Corp in 1968 when he was KIA. I have never forgotten how well he treated me as a young Airborne soldier at Ft Bragg, RIP great Warrior!
