A good buddy

Ron and I met in 1965 at Canton Area Technical School and became best of friends. After graduating in Mechanical Engineering Technology in 1967, we took a road trip to Canada then Wildwood , NJ, for a couple weeks, then hung out until we both got drafted. I was still at Ft Polk when I got the news. Ive thought many times about Ron and what might have been had he survived the war. He would have done very well. I named my own son Ronald Fox after Ron. He was a great friend, a car nut, a stand up comic and one of the best friends I’ve ever had. Everyone liked Ron. His favorite expression was “knowin”, his own way of saying “I know”. And as friends copy their leaders, we all walked around saying “knowin”, wishing we were as cool as Ron. I’ve always missed him. He was a “good buddy”.
