Thank You

Dear Sgt David Wehrs, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Thanksgiving is today. Happy Thanksgiving. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Big Red One Reunion 2016

I am going to the reunion of your BRO buddies next week, Big Brother Dave. They are always so happy to see me and proud to remember you and tell me stories of how much they loved you and miss you. They tell me that you were a wonderful leader and calm in times of terror, and that you taught them how to survive. You will always be their hero, and mine. Barbie

My Big Brother

Hi again Dave, My husband and I again reunited with your Big Red One buddies for their annual reunion this year. They miss you so much and feel your presence at each and every reunion and still see you in their dreams. Rick has finally found peace in his heart all these years after being with you in your final moments and has been able to free himself from his demons. He has become a brother to me, but can never replace you. I fly a "Honor and Remember" flag at my home on your birthday, your KIA date, and all the holidays in your honor and think of you every day. You have always been my hero, and I hope you understand what a hero you still are to your men. They told me they would never have survived without you. I hope you have found Mom and Dad...my love to you all. Your Lil Sis, Barb
