THE WALL OF FACES

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrance from your brother Andrew is touching and reflects the anguish experienced by so many who lost loved ones in this war. As long as you are remembered you will remain in our hearts forever.

Dear Sgt Roy Watts, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Thanksgiving is soon. Times flies. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Sergeant Roy D Watts was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Valor for his exemplary courage under fire. He served as an Infantryman and was assigned to A Co, 1st Bn, 27th Infantry, 25th Infantry Div.

When we were both in Vietnam it was my hope that we would be able to meet up. Never in my wildest dreams that I would be summoned to escort your body home. I was heartbroken then, and still so today.

You were one of the brave that answered the call. You honored us by your service and sacrifice. We now honor you each time we stand and sing the words “THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE”. Rest in Peace and Honor Roy.
