Earl was a special brother to his sister Connie. I felt like I knew him due to how Connie would have a gleam in her eyes as she would relay stories about him. I was a classmate of Connie and remember all to well that day in Feb. when Connie's world as she knew it, would never be the same. Thank you for the ulimate price you paid for all Americans.

Thankful for you
Dear Earl, I think of you often with much love and happiness. You were a dear friend. I'm sorry you could not live the life you dreamed of or grow old. I am so thankful you were my friend and neighbor. Thank you for loving this country. I miss you, Renee

To: My Brother Earl.May this not be the last entry.
Earl Weldon Watkins Jr. My DeMolay brother, my dear friend. I was in Navy Basic Training at Great Lakes, Ill. when I received the grave news of Earl's loss. His was certainly a loss to his friends and fraternal brethren.
Earl, My Brother and my Friend, Wherever you are today, I will ever remember the times we spent together. The night we closed Randy's Tasty-Freeze for the last time. Janice said Randy's would never be the same. That night, as I am sure you remember, Randy's burned to the ground.
The day we were going for Fred and the puppy ran into the path of the car I was driving.
The night we went to Joe Newnan Chapter to call for the gavel, and were outnumbered by just one. They kept the gavel.
Occasionally, I visit the place where you were laid to rest, beside your Dad, in the shade of a tree. I often feel that you are there with me, listening as I tell you of the things I have tried to accomplish and failed, or succeded, or am still trying to accomplish.
I am now a Mason, My Brother, As I know you would have been. That goal have I fufilled. My Masonic brethren guided me to this place where I could leave this message for you, and for the world. We shall remember you, your sisters, your Mom and Dad, and all of the beautiful times we had together as a family of fraternal brothers and sisters.
Your memory lives.
Your Fraternal brother,
Michael L. Brooks
