Thank You
Dear Cpl Daniel Wark, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Veterans’ Day is soon. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Brother-in-Arms
We met in band at Rosemead High, you on the cymbals, me on the trumpet. Who would have thought that we would be together after high school.
In 1968 you were KIA and I was blown off a fuel tanker in Hue.
Our next meeting we will be playing music again.

Remembering Dan
I find as I get older I think of Dan more often. Over the years as I raised my children and pursued my career, I would think of Dan and it would sadden me that he missed out on so many experiences. We spent a bit of time together as drummers in the band, and both swam for coach Newland (who had Dan coach me to speed up my breast stroke). I lost touch with him somewhat after he graduated since I was a year behind, but I ran into him behind the Corona del Mar library when I was home on leave from the Air Force. He told me he was going into the Army and when I expressed concern for his safety, he didn't seem worried and said he would be in and out and back to his life long before me. I wish he had been correct about that. I will remember Dan all my life and perhaps we'll meet again.

Waikiki Friends
Dan and I went to the same high school in California. When I got off the plane in Hawaii in about 67 I ran into him at Kuhio Beach. He got me my first Hawaii job at the snack shop on Kalakaua. Some time later he decided to enlist. A few weeks later their was an article posted on the bulliten board by the time clock that he had been killed in Viet Nam. This really effected a lot of people who worked their.
