Dear Sp4 Samuel Walthour, Thank you for your service as an Airborne Qualified Medical NCO. Thank you for the lives you saved. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart . Halloween is soon. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it still needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Sam, I went to the 50th reunion at West High a week ago. Lots of people who knew you and still remember your colorful personality. I visited your resting place, now next to your mother Maxine and your father. Sam Sr. passed away since my last visit to town. All these years I've lived & mostly enjoyed my interesting life, time that you suddenly lost forever when your life was sacrificed that summer. I feel your spirit sometimes. Whenever I think of you, it feels that your soul is around me somewhere, flittering around my spirit and fading away until the next time.

Its 2017, and you are remembered, and honored for what you did.
