Dear Cpl Clyde Walter, Jr., Thank you for your service as an Infantryman (Machine Gunner) with the 1st Cavalry. I researched you on your 52nd anniversary, sad. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart . Halloween is soon. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it still needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Corporal Clyde Elmer Walter, Jr. was awarded the Silver Star Medal for his conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action. He served as an Infantryman and was assigned to D CO, 2ND BN, 12TH CAVALRY, 1ST CAV DIV.
