My Brother
Bill, my older brother, who they called "farmer," was short rounded when a forward artillary observer dialed in a barage on the wrong hill. He was an M-60 gunner in the 1st Cavalry. He was an avid card player, wonderful joker, very quick to laugh. I think often if he were alive I'd be an uncle, have nieces and nephews, and he and I could argue about everything, like brothers do. And now that I'm older, I might actually win some. Well, maybe not. I sure could never win at cards.
