YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN!
Dear Private First Class Wallace ~ You Are Not Forgotten!
This is the 4th year, on the anniversary of your passing, that I ran a mile with you in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in Peace, Dear Brother.
Each year since September 2015, at the annual 5th Division Army reunion, members of the Society of the Fifth Division, U.S Army remember the 514 soldiers from the 1st Brigade, 5th Division, who were Killed in Action in Vietnam. You are among the soldiers remembered. You Are Not Forgotten!

Just One Name On the Wall
I’m just ONE NAME on the WALL
ONE out of over 58,000
But, I was your FRIEND.
That made all the difference,
we were placed in a hell we did not create,
and became BROTHERS and FRIENDS
we were closer than anyone could imagine
but with you by my side, I had no fear
The horror we saw no man should ever face.
But we as young men faced it together.
I’m just ONE NAME on the WALL.
The ONE you called MY FRIEND.
We talked about so many things after the war.
But, that was not to be.
You see MY FRIEND. God had different plans for me.
On that day I will always see.
Your hands holding me, I remember your words.
But, my time was up for me.
You’ve wept for me all these years.
I only wish you could see.
This was all meant to be.
My BROTHER, on the day I see you coming home.
My hands will be there to lead you the way.
The same way you held mine that day.
I’ve seen all the pain and grief you’ve carried.
It’s ok to let go. You see I’m right where I was to be
Right next to my BROTHERS on the WALL
One out of over 58,000.
We made a difference even though.
We were only ONE NAME on the WALL…
