honoring you.....

War drew us from our homeland
In the sunlit springtime of our youth.
Those who did not come back alive remain
in perpetual springtime -- forever young --
And a part of them is with us always.

Thank You

Dear PFC Richard Wallace , Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart . Halloween is soon. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it still needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Peace with Honor

You were one of the brave that answered the call. You honored us by your service and sacrifice. We now honor you each time we stand and sing the words “THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE”. Rest in Peace and Honor Richard.

Was with Richard on Dec. 1, 1968

I want to take this time to address Richard's family as it appears that someone posted a recent remembrance. Please know that all of us who were with him on that horrible day will never forget him or the others that were lost.
It was a very sad day for all whom were there and it remains etched in our collective memories as if it occurred yesterday. We, who are still in close contact, talk about this day often. With this said, please know that our prayers continue to go to those boys, along with yours, an I'm convinced that they have spent the ensuing years in comfort, peace and vitality. I choose to believe that they were relieved of the hell that an infantryman had to endure in Vietnam and that God has them in a very comfortable, tranquil paradise. This is the only way I can make any sense of the experience.
All of the best to any family members that may read this. You are not alone with your thoughts.
