Thank You

Dear PFC James Wallace, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart . Halloween is soon. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it still needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

NOTE TO ANYONE IN JAMES' FAMILY

Is this the James R. Wallace whose mother is Mrs. Kathryn Smith? If so, I was his 16-year-old pen-pal when he was in the naval base hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas, in summer of 1968. I still have the article from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram about him and several letters that I received from him postmarked June 24 to Sept 3, 1968.

For my brother

James - What an amazing big brother you were to me and what a wonderful son you were to mom and dad. I wish so badly you could have watched me grow up and have had a chance to meet my family. I now have 3 boys, one of whom is named after you...Kyle James. You are an inspiration to me and I am so proud of you and your sacrifice. Just missing you...and wishing you had been a part of my life longer.

If anyone out there, friends or vets, have memories of my brother, I would love to see them here. I was only 9 years old when he passed. I'd love to know him better through your memories.... Love, Theresa Wallace Galloway
