Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrance from your niece Konny Schaeffer is especially poignant. As long as you are remembered you will always be with us....

My Uncle Jr.

I thought my uncle Jr was the coolest guy on the planet! He was very kind, and loved by everyone. Before he was drafted he lived with my family while attending college. My Mom loved her little brother with all of her heart. As a child, the Vietnam War was frightening as we watched the news every night hoping our loved ones would not be among those being reported. The days and weeks after my Uncle Jr was killed in Vietnam were the saddest times. His death changed our lives forever. We will never forget this brave young man that we loved so very much❤️

Thanks

Dear PFC Branson,
Thank you for your service as an Indirect Fire Infantryman. Independence Day is approaching, and it is important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

As a former employee from YOUR OFFICE in St. Louis

YOU were a great friend who worked with me ( drafting board directly in front of me ) with the St. Louis District, Corps of Engineers ( located in the Frisco Bldg ), downtown. I remember as if was yesterday, you told me while sitting in you chair, Jerry I received my draft notice, what should I do ? I have said to myself and to my wife if that same question was asked of me again, I would say go to Canada ! I also remember like it was yesterday, Mr. Connie Meister, Chief of the Survey Branch advising us who had gathered around in the office, what had happened to OUR dear friend. You told us that you had just graduated from junior college and the Corps of Engineers was the fist real job you had and was really happy working here. I will always remember you RALPH A. BRANSON FOR AS LONG AS I LIVE. MAY GOD BLESS YOU, MY DEAR FRIEND.
