Walk Tall Marine

Phil was short in stature, but huge in heart and personality. I went to school with Phil and joined the Corps just before he did. He went to the 1st Marine Division and I to the 3rd. I had returned home from my tour of duty and was at a football game when I heard of Phil's death. I miss you Corporal, and someday we will stand side by side.

Think of You often

Think of You often
Punchy, It's still hard to believe that you were taken from us at such a young age. I think about the good times at SHHS and I always end up with a smile after the tear. Dixie

My Mom's Cousin!!

I am your cousin's oldest daughter, Coleen!
Philip, you died the year after I was born. We loved Aunt Esther and Uncle Ray, your parents. We spent many years living in their home which our Grandmother, your Aunt Lena, bought after your parents passed. My oldest son Mason was the last child "Nana" ever helped raise in that very home with me and many others who moved in and out over the years. I know you asked your mom to leave that money to Jenny and I - with that I paid my way through hairdressing school and it changed my life.
We have never ever forgotten you. God Bless all those who serve our proud country!!

My Mom's Cousin

I may have never known you personally, as you died 6 days before I was born, but your spirit has always lived on in our family. My grandmother Lena was your mother Esther's sister. When you passed, your left some money in trust for me and my older sister. I used it when I was 17 to buy my first car. An old friend of yours talked of your generosity, and apparently it lived on long after you left this world. I thank you for your service, generosity, courage and example. Your will always have a place in my heart........Jen
