High School Friends
I can't believe I'm writing this memory nearly 60 years after you were killed in action, although I knew many years ago that we lost you. We were really good friends -- especially freshman year at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School. We went our separate ways but you death in combat has saddened me for many years. I also served in Vietnam but was lucky to make it home safely. It must have been a notice from Loughlin on how you died because I wrote "killed in Vietnam" next to your picture in our senior yearbook. I hope you are up in heaven and can read the notes written on this site. Rest in peace.

dona nobis pacem.
Peace be with you....Amen

My husband Cpl Richard Vandemark spoke of you and your friendship in Vietnam as brother Marines all the time! He said you were brave, loyal and funny and he missed all his C-1-1 buds everyday. He is with y’all now, thank you for your sacrifice and service.

Thank You
Dear Cpl William Vohs, Thank you for your service as a Machine Gunner. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is Columbus Day weekend. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.
