Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. While all deaths in Vietnam are tragic that you died just one week before your 21st birthday is especially so. May you rest in eternal peace.

As a Fall River boy myself, I wasn't even born when you sir gave your life for our great nation. I too am of Portuguese descent as you were sir. May your family be proud and may God Bless you private Joseph Vieira Jr. and may God Bless The United States of America!

Hi Joe,
I'm not sure if you went to Durfee HS. We were born 2 weeks apart, so it's very likely you were in the class of 1965. Our class was very large, so everyone didn't know every classmate.
I hope to hear your name this Memorial Day on the "Big Mamie" of the water front.
