Thank You
Dear PFC David Vandercook, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Yesterday was POW/MIA Recognition Day. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN
Dave, some day we WILL meet again. We grew up together, from elementary school through high school. We fought just once, over a girl, in grade school no less. It was a long wrestling-fist throwing-drag down-roll in the dirt kind of fight. Neither of us won though. Cuz the girl went for some other guy. Yet, you and I became great friends thereafter. Recall going to Cass Lake with you and Gary when you both joined the Marines. Those were the last days I saw you - UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN! Proud to know you Dave. Still am. Today, Memorial Day 2020, I'm glad I stumbled on THE WALL OF FACES! Don't know why? I think of you often Dave.

You will find this strange . . .
You will find this unusual Dave, but I continue to often think of your sacrifice. This Memorial Day weekend is no different. You were one of the best guys around when I arrived as a 'new kid' at Clawson High School. You are proof that the good die young. Will always miss you . . .

DAVID IS ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS
David grew up with our family and was like a brother. He and my brother Gary joined the Marine Corps together. No one but God knows the plan, the wheres, the whens, and the whys...ONLY GOD. Gary also served in Vietnam and was critically injured, however, he came home. David you are always in our hearts, you always will be in our hearts. No amount of time or space will separate you from us. We love you David ??
