Short friendship

I had never met Roger until the night before he was being shipped out to Vietnam. We sat up and talked almost that whole night. I felt I knew him well after that. Such a truly fine, upstanding and handsome young man! I will never forget!

Never forget

In 1969, Roger & a bunch of marines would come home on the weekends with my friend’s brother before they were all deployed to Viet Nam. We partied all weekend. So glad he had those memories. He was the nicest guy! I think of him especially on Memorial Day. A great lose!
